At LifeBridge, fellowship is a high priority. We work hard to ensure that nearly every person who comes into contact with us is presented with the opportunity to be part of a LifeGroup.Within a wide variety of groups, friendships develop, personal growth occurs, and people are cared for.

What are LifeGroups?
LifeGroups are groups of six to fourteen people who meet regularly for support, encouragement, Bible study, socials, worship, and missional outreach. Groups are led by trained, supported lay people who facilitate group direction. They are places where you can connect with people who share your interests, people who are at a similar stage in life or people who have expertise in an area where you would like coaching.

What are the distinctive’s of LifeGroups?
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” – Hebrews 10:24-25

The distinctive’s of LIFEGroups are expressed through:
* Lifestyle of Devotion to God and his Word seen in our worship; prayer; commitment to the bible and to the family of believers (fellowship; marriages; celebration of singleness; and parenting).
* Impact for Christ through evangelism (Make Jesus Famous in Dartmouth and around the world), and through discipleship.
* Fulfilled in Ministry by using our gifts; answering the sceptic and equipping the saint (Apologetics) and embracing disciplines. Teaching the: how to’s of engagement to…
* Everyone, Everywhere,Everyday with a bent to understanding the current cultural Issues we face, along with the people in our spheres.

These things take on a special flavour as the mission of the group is constantly being driving back to dependence on the Holy Spirit and pushing them to apply the Gospel to real life situations which the mission brings up. This is where much of the actual shepherding, discipleship and application of the Gospel takes place.

This is also where people are equipped to do the specific work of the ministry to which God has called them (Ephesians 4:12). In Acts 2:46 and throughout the Epistles we see this taking place as people gathered in each other’s’ homes for fellowship and to stir one another up to love and good deeds.

 LifeGroup purpose: “Transforming LIFE together”
At LifeBridge, LifeGroups are a way of life, not simply a program.
